Column Elevator Out of Service Beginning Monday, May 5th

PFD NOTICE
CLRP: Elevator Notifications
5 May 2008

In accordance with the Central Library Renovation Project, the column elevator will be taken out of service beginning Monday, May 5th until further notice. The South Elevator will return to service on Monday, May 5th in order to transport new shelving and other furniture to their new locations. The South Elevator will be closed to staff for about two weeks in order to accomplish this goal as quickly as possible.

As a reminder, there are stairs in the parking garage that will allow staff to access various points on the Concourse Level. Once on the Concourse Level, staff can use the North Elevator to access the remainder of the building. If you have appropriate disability identification (tags, plates or other devices), please contact Jason Stephens in Planning & Facilities for temporary accommodations.

The completion of this work will enable us to provide a better and more consistent level of service and safety in the facility for our customers and staff. Please forward and communicate this information as usual and necessary.

Thanks for your cooperation,
