Subject: III upgrade to R2007 for HPL
I wanted to let everyone know that we are planning to upgrade HPL to Release 2007, the newest III software, around midnight on Monday, June 30th. The upgrade will finish early on Tuesday morning, July 1st.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we'll start the upgrade around midnight Monday evening after the server backup completes and the verification process runs. We plan on upgrading just the Houston Public Library server that morning, HALHP. The other HALAN libraries server (HALOS) and HALIR (the INNReach server) will be updated later in the summer.
PLEASE CLOSE all Millennium clients and Putty sessions before leaving on Monday. ALL users should be out of the III system for the upgrade.
Do not start any reports or lists that will not complete before 10:00 PM Monday night. DO NOT START MILLENNIUM CLIENTS Tuesday morning until you are notified that it's OK to do so.
