Subject: Fine Statements mailing
Greatings all.
Tomorrow, we will resume sending Statements of Account to customers who have accrued $25.00 or more in fines only to their borrower accounts. Just as before, these statements will advise the customers that the fines have been owed for 60 days or longer and that they should be resolved within 30 days to avoid further collection activity. Those that are not resolved will be submitted for collection and an additional $10.00 collection agency reporting charge will be added to the amount owed.
As you hear from customers needing assistance with these charges, keep in mind that some charges accrued during the period following Hurricane Ike and that we were waiving charges through the beginning of November. Please pay special attention to the dates for fines on these accounts and adjust fines to forgive those that accrued during the period between 09/12/08 and 11/08/08.
As always, thank you for the fine work that each of you does each day. It is greatly appreciated by your customers and by me. If you have any questions regarding the accounts or instructions above, please feel free to contact your district LA Supervisor or me. Any of us will be happy to assist.
Fred Schumacher
