Subject: Replacement CD's for Unabridged Books on CD

Greetings all.
We have recently received numerous calls about the replacement price for single CD’s from unabridged books on CD. Please follow the procedure below when a customer loses a single CD (or several CD’s) from an unabridged book on CD.
When a customer loses a single CD from an unabridged book on CD, the replacement cost is $7.00 per CD. Staff should enter a manual charge on the fines tab and include the item barcode, a brief title and the number of the CD lost from the set. There is no processing fee charged for the replacement CD’s. Be sure to notify the customer of the charge and note this in the customer record.
Send the item needing the replacement part to Marianne Lorio in COMS. Marianne will take care of ordering the replacement CD (CD’s) and returning the item to you when complete.
