As many of you know each year the Programming department hosts the Annual BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) Movie Marathon at HPL. This event benefits many of the less fortunate that visit our library and utilize its services daily. We need your help in making this year’s event a success. We are requesting donations of gift-wrapped items labeled Boy, Girl, Man, or Woman for the intended recipient. However, if you cannot have your donations wrapped, please bring them just the same as we have volunteers to do gift-wrapping. There is also a need for donations of Food and Drink to be served during this year’s marathon (store bought items only please).
If you have items you no longer need or think might make a nice gift for someone else, please feel free to bring them. You may also donate clothing, blankets, gift cards in the amount of $5.00 from eateries downtown like McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, Wendys etc. There is no limit and every donation counts!
Donated items will be given away as gifts on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 12-6pm in the Concourse Meeting Room during the Movie Marathon. Anything not given away during the event will be donated to the Star of Hope. Everyone is welcome to attend this event to herald the Season of goodwill.
You may bring donations through December 22. If you have any questions, please feel to contact Hiawatha Henry at ext 31489.
