A librarian came brought me the chair in the photo above. If we see chairs out in the computer area that seem to be unstable, even if they are partially functional, we need to move the chair away from public use ASAP (move it to the lift area temporarily). If someone is injured after using the chair, we won't be sitting pretty.
The point people for the Broken Chair Project are Saima Kadir (x31698) and Jackie Pierce (x31497 and they will give you further instruction.
Remember to place a note on the chair detailing exactly whats wrong with it. Don't list "Chair is broken" as the reason; list the specifics "Chair is wobbly when used", "Supporting bar on chair is bent", "Customers used the chair as kindling for a fire" or "chair was stabbed repeatedly by maruading barbarians".
You may tape the sign to the chair.
