Good afternoon all
The Art Car Parade will take Place on Saturday, May 12. The Central Library parking garage will be open to the public, (parking passes will not be required). Allen Parkway will be closed, but Lamar and Brazos will have lanes coned off for Library traffic (staff and public) from approximately 10am - 3pm. Staff and the public will access the parking garage as usual (from Lamar Street) and exit as usual (onto McKinney Street.)
Please be prepared for other detours and street closures - leave a little early to navigate street closures and plan your route ahead of time. If you have any questions, please contact Jason Stephens (jason.stephens@houstontx.gov or 832.393.1366).
Remember, please be courteous -
• Plan ahead!
• Give yourself plenty of time to get to work.
• Please be patient and courteous to officers working street closures - they are ensuring the safety of you and of parade spectators.
