A quick reminder about gossip

Good afternoon, all.

Keep in mind that gossip isn't a victimless crime. When we make assumptions or spread rumors about our fellow staff members, all we do is hurt the department as a whole by alienating and ridiculing each other. We need to work together to make this place as peaceful as we can and that means we must treat each other with respect and the common courtesy we expect for ourselves. If you want to "spread news" about what someone else has done or what you believe another team member has done (or said or will do or might be or could be or should be), speak with the person involved first, get your news first hand instead of relying on people who may just be spreading gossip to intentionally hurt someone.

Remember: We are all different. We are all unique. It is from our diverse background as a department that has made us into the team we are today. Take the time to understand each other and ask questions before you make an assumption or hurl an insult at someone.
