Hey everyone
Sorry for the late notice. I have received confirmation from MOSE on details for an event this Sunday, February 9. The Rhythm & Blues Half Marathon will be primarily taking place on Allen Parkway. A few lanes of Lamar Street will be closed, but a coned lane should be provided for staff and customer access into the Central parking garage. The lane closures should last from 6:30 AM until about 12:00 PM (about an hour before the library opens.) No parking passes will be needed for this event.
Make sure you have your badge just in case to let any security working the event that you work at the library so they can give you access. The streets should be fully open by the time the library opens to the public at 1:00 PM.
Serena Blaylock and her cell number is 713-562-4873. She will be the point of contact. IF THEY DO NOT LET YOU IN CALL HER AND TELL HER!
