Hi everyone.
I’ve had a few questions about “red shirt week”, which starts this coming Wednesday (September 10th) and runs through next Wednesday (September 17th). To clarify – you can wear your red HPL collared shirt, any red shirt, or any white shirt that week, along with your new library card campaign button all staff will receive at their locations soon.
This coming Wednesday and the following Saturday are the big kick-off days, so it might be nice to wear your red HPL shirt on those days, but I’ll leave that up to you. What really matters is that this is a week for us to unite as a staff, all in our HPL colors, as we kick-off a very exciting library card campaign with the 2-week amnesty program! And in case you were wondering, this is the first time HPL has offered an amnesty program to people of all ages in decades, so this is a big deal and we want all our customers to know it!
