When we process accounts for Texshare cards, please ensure the customer is eligible for the card. The requirements to obtain a Texshare card are listed on the application itself, which includes:
1) Customer must live within the city limits. If the city on their ID does not say Houston, we are unable to process the Texshare card
2) The customer must have had a card for at least 6 months, no exceptions
3) The customer must immediately pay any outstanding fees on the account
Also, if a parent wants to get the child a Texshare card, we do not require the child to be present as their existence has already been verified when they set up their library account.
