This coming Monday, August 15, 2016, we will start the iTeam Walk Up Reservation Pilot Program. The Walk-Up Module is working very well at Pasadena Public Library and our Digital Strategies Team (IT) wants to test it at HPL:
- The pilot will be conducted in KIDS and 3rd floor PCs only
- The process is fairly straight forward:
o If there are computers available the customer will walk right to the PC and sign in,
o Extension of time will happen in the same manner as it happens now
o If all PCs are being used, then customers would need to use the reservation station.
- We will have pre-printed barcodes for those customers that have issues logging in
- The pilot will last one week (August 15 through August 21). If you feel the pilot should be extended for another week, please let me know.
What it is most important is staff feedback: Please report any positive or negative issues with the process and the system. If the problems we’ve been having continue to occur, make sure to include those issues. You can use the form found at:
Please remember that there will be a learning curve for both staff and customers and we may have some complaints on 1st floor because we are not using the same login process: just remind customer that this is a pilot program. Thanks! Paty
