Do not put returns to ROB or COL in delivery!
They need to go on the two knee-high level shelves with green labels in LMS by the connecting door next to Sylvia's office.
It’s that time again! With ROB having just closed and COL closing this weekend, now is the time to start setting aside items Sirsi bounces back to them so that my Float Team can route those items to other locations rather than having it all go over to Delivery’s sorting room, get dropped into storage boxes, and not be accessible to our customers. (*Especially since ROB is expected to be closed around 2 years.)As we have done when other neighborhood libraries are closing for an extended period of time, I have designated a couple of shelves in LMS to put items returned at CEN that Sirsi triggers as in transit back to those locations. The 2 knee-level shelves have green labels and are just inside the LMS workroom, right by the connecting door next to Sylvia’s office. Please let all of the LST staff know so that they can keep an eye out for ROB & COL returns and pull them before taking other NL returns to Delivery. They should go ahead and put on the yellow in transit labels that are generated, just like they do for holds and returns going elsewhere. I don’t expect a lot since both locations are far from downtown, but most of their returns are likely to come in over the next couple of months, with just a few overdue items trickling in after that. This does not include holds, just routine returns that go in transit.Let me know if you have any questions.~SaraSara Karow
