Please note a story broke yesterday regarding an alleged sexual assault of a 10-year-old boy at a Harris County Public Library location in North Houston. The story was updated this morning with surveillance video and pictures of the possible suspect.
It is very likely this possible suspect will try this again at a Library. We have HPL locations in close proximity to the Aldine Branch. Aldine is surrounded by at least 3-4 schools and is extremely busy with kids after school. That is one reason HPD believes this possible suspect chose that location.
Please make sure you are being extra vigilant as you monitor the activities at your location. Also make sure you are aware of the activity around our restrooms and other blind spots in the Library.
If you observe any suspicious activity please remember to call either 911 or the HPD non-emergency line at 713-884-3131. After you have done that make sure to report to your Senior Manager and/or Customer Experience Admin
