Computer Issues

Greetings HPL Team,
This is a city wide issue related to staff computer updates that were pushed out last night.  The updates have to complete and the computer will restart before it can be used again.  Restarting the computer before the updates are complete will cause the update process to start again from the beginning.  At this time, it is best to just let your computer finish the update process.  The HITS team is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it.  We understand that those being affected by this issue may not have access to their email at this time.  If you are able to read this, please pass along this information to your team members and coworkers.

Thanks,

Rick

Greetings HPL Team,

Many users are having trouble logging in to their computers after a major update that was pushed out this morning.  If you are not able to log in to Windows due to the mouse and keyboard being locked please be patient and let the update complete.  Unfortunately there is no information displayed on the screen indicating how long the update will take.  Restarting the computer will not help and will actually increase the time for the update to complete.

We apologize for this inconvenience.  Feel free to contact the Help Desk if you have questions.
