All, unfortunately once again we are experiencing an issue with the backup tape drive used by the HALHP server that may require a reboot. III is hoping to avoid doing this, but as before, you should follow the instructions below for tonight, September 09, 2008:

Again, we apologize for the late notice but the problem with the drive was not discovered until about 20 minutes ago.

Maintenance note:

III needs to perform some additional maintenance on the HPL III server tonight. The maintenance will be done around 9:15 PM tonight, Tuesday 9/02, after the libraries close. The maintenance should only take about 10 minutes when III shuts down and then reboots the server.

Please remember to close all Millennium sessions and not to start any reports/updates that will not finish by 9:00 PM.

Pass this information on to any staff member who may not see this email. I'm sorry about the late notice but we were unsure that this would be a "go" until fairly late in the day.
