The 2010 Year of the Tiger Lunar New Year Festival will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Chinese Community Center. The Chinese Community Center is located at 9800 Town Park, Houston, Texas 77036. The Year of the Tiger flyer is on an independent page: https://hplnet.hpl.lib.tx.us/special-event.html.
The Houston Public Library (HPL) will have a booth at this event. I am currently recruiting HPL staff volunteers to assist me at this event. The event is from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. However, I will need assistance setting up our booth, etc. We need to set up our booth by 9:00 AM. The volunteer shifts are as follows:
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM (3-4 Persons)
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (3-4 persons)
12:30 PM – 2:30 PM (3-4 persons)
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM (3-4 persons)
The attendance for this event is projected to exceed 10,000 participants. Please consider joining me at this fun-filled event.
