Subject: Volunteers needed for the children's book celebration
Hello all—
As I hope you are aware, we have our first annual HPL Children’s Book Celebration this Saturday May 8th with Author TA Barron and next Saturday May 15th with Jerry Pinkney. Both events run from 11-3:30 (see schedule attached) and are open to the public from 12-3:30 pm.
We need about 5-6 volunteers for each of the Saturday to help out with the various activities. It is at Central Library, and we would like to have volunteers here for the entire event, arriving at 9 and staying until 4pm. However, if you need a shorter shift, please let me know!
Many of you have assisted already by being on the committee to plan, or helping to build set pieces, and by promoting the event. I am hoping some of you will also want to volunteer to help out by being at the events – it is going to be a great time with lots of activities.
