Greetings,

I have checked the Rules and Guidelines and I’ve included those we discussed below:

The following behaviors and activities are prohibited in library buildings:
• Smoking or other tobacco use.
• Eating or drinking (except water in covered containers), except in designated areas.
• Bringing in packaged or unpackaged food, except into designated areas.

Therefore, chewing tobacco is not allowed. Currently, the only existing designated eating area is the teen room, and that is limited to teen use only. As discussed at the meeting, we are being more lenient with bringing in packaged food into the library.
