Hi Team,
Normally, we begin making plans for Gulf Coast Reads
(formerly Books on the Bayou) around this time each year. This year, the
Houston Public Library is taking a step back to re-focus and ensure that our
signature adult program is the very best that it can be. Therefore, we will not
be planning any major programs for the 2013 Gulf Coast Reads.
The selection, as determined by the regional committee, is The
Dog Stars, by Peter Heller. If customers inquire about the selection,
please feel free to share the title. Our materials selection department did
purchase extra copies of the book, so please do feel free to create book
displays around the title.
I will be consulting with you in the future for your ideas,
as we plan for a spectacular 2014 Adult Reading program.
