Cell phones have simply become too much of a distraction during work hours.
Effective 5/19/14, we will no longer allow cell phone use of any form on the public floor or in the sorting area. This includes personal web-browsing, texting, or phone calls. We will be coming around with a form for you to sign recognizing you have been informed of the rule change. Once implemented, we will be going directly to a PID if you are on your cell phone on the public floor or in the sorting area.
If you need to be reached by family for an emergency, the caller can dial 832-393-1556 to have Maria Garcia connect the person to you. Keep in mind this is for emergencies only.
Also, we all find a great joy in "Choose Your Own Adventure" Day, however we will no longer be offering this for people who abuse the privilege by simply sitting around and doing nothing. Also, if you are under any form of disciplinary action, you will not be eligible for the privilege.
