Important information for adults logging books in SRG
Hi team,
We made a discovery about how adults can access their reading logs to log their reviews.
If an adult is a member of a youth account (if the child/teen signed up first, and the adult got attached through the Add Member button), an adult must log in on the youth Summer Reading page from the public side (houstonlibrary.org/summer), and then select the adult’s name in the drop down menu where it says Manage. Remember, all members that are managed by one account have the same user name and password. The adult here is named “adult test”.
This will take the adult to the Summer Reading for Grownups (SRG) page, and they can log their books and write their reviews there. If a child is attached to an adult’s account (the adult signed up first for SRG, and then attached a child by clicking Add Member), to access the child’s account, a customer would have to log in on the SRG page, and select the child’s name from the Manage dropdown menu.
Please share this information with frontline staff, so that they can effectively assist customers that are having trouble logging in.
